Drew was playing these chords around the kitchen one day, and I promptly stole them and wrote a love song about him. It’s always been a song that’s felt like home to me. They went back into the studio to re-record this song specifically for the new album with Ellie sharing, “ I wrote ‘Hung the Moon’ after a long season of listening to a lot of Lucinda Williams. “Hung the Moon,” which is out today, was originally released in 2009 on Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors’ A Million Miles Away LP. The timing is by design, giving fans a chance to hear some new songs and revisit some older ones ahead of their massive US headline tour.
